Activities & Groups

Coffee after Wednesday Mass

After the Sunday Parish Mass we gather for refreshments and on many appropriate occasions during the year we celebrate significant birthdays and other festivals with drinks and food.

The parish has an enthusiastic catering committee and can guarantee to produce a wonderful spread when required.

We have tea and coffee after Wednesday morning mass and this is also a good opportunity to chat with priests and parishioners. We often use this time to discuss issues of the day or to talk abut the sermon with and Priest and learn more about the Gospels.

Confraternity of the Blessed Sacrament

Father Edward is ward superior of the Corpus Christi, Kenton Ward and Patricia Royle is ward secretary. Monthly Benediction and Vespers, at which we are joined by CBS members from other parishes, are held on the first Sunday of each month at 6.00PM.

Forward in Faith

We have long been a registered parish with Forward in Faith. We use the pew sheet Forward! and several members of the parish are involved in FiF at diocesan and national level. Each year we organise a coach to attend the London and Southwark FiF Pilgrimage to the shrine of Our Lady of Boulogne, at which we are joined by members of adjacent parishes.

Additional Curates Society

The parish has supported the work of ACS for many years. Lent boxes for the work of ACS are available and members of the parish also support the work of ACS in different ways. For example, this year we are holding two Lent lunches in aid of ACS.

Cell of Our Lady of Walsingham

Individuals and groups go to Walsingham on pilgrimage regularly. Families from the parish enjoy participating in the family pilgrimage weekend in November. Parish members also go on the Walsingham National pilgrimage with members of other parishes from Willesden.

Society of Mary

Due to a decline in membership the cell of the Society of Mary has recently been suspended. In the fullness of time we would hope to re-instate active parish membership of the Society.

One of the Kenton Scout troops is affiliated with the church although the multi-faith constitution of the area means that contact is limited. The local Air Cadet Corps attends our annual Remembrance Day service.
