Lent 2007: The Ten Commandments

The 2007 Lent Course at St Mary’s takes the form of an exploration of the Ten Commandments, as presented to us in Exodus 20 and repeated in Deuteronomy 6. Two Commandments will be covered each week, as shown below. Most of the teaching will take place in the Homily at the Masses on each of the first five Sundays of Lent, allowing more time for questions, discussion and exploration in the hour-long sessions that will normally take place at 10am on Tuesday mornings and 7pm on Wednesday evenings, with exceptions as shown below.

We will explore in general and in particular how each of the Commandments is an expression of how God wants us to live the life that is His gift to us, and how to apply them to our daily lives.

The handouts for each week will be provided here as PDF files, for the benefit of any who want to refer to them or who can’t make it to the sessions – but not as an on-line Lent course that takes the place of the sessions themselves.
